Majestic Malibu Beach: Where the mountains meet the sea.

What do you do when you are exhausted from all the recreational options California has to offer? Go take a nap on the beach... in Malibu. From Santa Monica, right in front of Hotel California, you can see the Santa Monica Mountains as they plunge into the ocean at Malibu. All the famous Malibu beaches: Point Dune, Zuma Beach, Paradise Cove, Rincon, to name a few, are just 6 miles from our beach hotel.

Beaches to check out: Leo Carrillo State Beach (this park has 1.5 miles of beach for swimming, surfing, windsurfing, surf fishing and beachcombing, the beach also has tide pools, coastal caves and reefs for exploring, the shade of giant sycamores for lounging, back-country for hiking),  Malibu Lagoon State Beach (the lagoon is where Malibu Creek meets the Pacific Ocean), Malibu's Surfrider Beach (has a long standing as a premier surfing beach), Malibu Pier, Zuma Beach (one of the more popular beaches in Malibu), El Matador Beach (pictured in the sunset above), Point Dume State Park, Paradise Cove, Surfrider Beach, Topanga State Beach... it's epic California!
